a good experience

clear instructionsdetailed explanationspacious bathroomlukewarm hot tub
the instructions provided for locating the hotel proved clear. staff offered detailed explanations of all hotel amenities upon arrival. i had a large room that overlooked the street. the bathroom was equally spacious, a real plus.
The hot tub experience was lacking. It was supposed to be available between 4-9pm, but it was only lukewarm when i tried to use it at 4pm. i wish it had been properly heated.

The staff was very lovely! My room was upgraded to a much bigger room. It had a good sized kitchen, stocked with tea and coffee. The bed was nice and big and very comfortable.
I felt the price and quality ratio was a little off. The hotel is great location about a 10 minute walk to the center. We booked a family room for three adults and it met our needs though. The hotel is next to a railway line though there was little noise nuisance.

average stay with issues

nice gardennoisy floorboardsdated interior
the garden was nice.
the floorboards were very noisy and i could hear general hotel noises from above, better soundproofing is needed. the interior looked dated and the broken kickboard on the tv unit wasn't great. i found a broken hotel info frame in the drawer too.

The breakfast was excellent. It presented a good variety of options. The staff were helpful , allowing us to store luggage. The location was very well situated , only a short walk from main attractions.
The towels smelled LIKE grease. The bedding similarly had an odd odor. The room was freezing at night , A DEFINITE problem. The wind blew through the windows.

some issues dampened the experience

small televisioninconsistent temperature
the television in my room was very small! and it barely got a signal. also, the shower's temperature fluctuated a lot. it went from hot to cold constantly. it just wouldn't keep a consistent temperature which was annoying. the breakfast was alright, but the room itself felt more like an upgraded guesthouse rather than a proper hotel.
